Puerto Montt offers a huge variety of experiences to the visitor.  Maybe a short tour to Frutillar, where a magnificent theater is located right by the lakeshore, or maybe enjoy a horseback riding through the countryside, or, why not daring to go river rafting, or go fly fishing.  This whole area is called the Lake District zone due to its many lakes, rivers of glacial origin, and volcanoes.  You may want to enjoy its Chilean gastronomy that has mixed with the traditions brought by the German and Swiss colonists.
